The information sessions part of a large regional awareness raising campaign on the provisions of the new Customs Code continued this week in Comrat and Ungheni, bringing together over 80 business people.
Participants were familiarized by the specialists of the Customs Service and by the EU High Level Adviser on Customs & Tax Policy on topics like customs control, customs regimes, customs value, origin of goods, IT, customs revenues. Each of the sessions ended with an open dialogue with the representatives of the business community, eager to learn more about the changes that will enter into force as of January 2024.
The information sessions are organized for a better understanding of application of the new provisions, but also for an exchange of information and opinions to improve the services offered to the business environment.
Previous meetings of the campaign were held in October in Briceni and Balti for the Northern part of the country, bringing together over 100 participants; and in November continued in Cahul. The last two sessions are planned to take place in Căușeni, on 14 November and Chisinau, on 16 November.
