The information campaign of the Internship Programme reached its end: the Academy of Economic Studies was the final institution to host the young people willing to find out the career experiences of the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization and the EU High Level Adviser on Internal Security Affairs. About 100 students took part in the event today, 23 May.
H.E. Ambassador Mazeiks mentioned that it is truly inspiring to see young people ready to provide their inputs to build a European future in their home country: “The European Union is happy to support this initiative, as the public administration needs determined, motivated young people to bring Moldova in the European family.”
According to Deputy Prime Minister Alaiba, the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization is ready to employ future graduates of the Internship Programme, the country being in need of young, qualified professionals.
The application process for the 2023 edition of the Internship Programme is ongoing: those willing to take part in the two-months experience are invited to submit their applications to stagii@eu-advisers.md, including a CV and a cover letter. The deadline for applications is 4th June; the eligibility criteria and details on the selection process area available at https://www.eu-advisers.md/ro/internship/.
The Internship Programme is a joint initiative of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, offering paid internships in state institutions to students of the last year of I cycle of studies, master students and recent graduates, with the aim of enhancing their chances of starting a career in the civil service. This is the Programme’s second year, last year’s edition having been graduated by 47 interns, some of which being already employed in the country’s civil service.
Previous information events took place in Cahul, on 4 May, Balti, on 11 May and the State University of Moldova, on 16 May. A dedicated event for Moldovan students pursuing their studies abroad was aired live, on social media platforms, on 17 May. The Programme provides a paid scholarship and is fully funded by the European Union.
