„Europe Day marks the values that formed the basis of the creation of the European Union and that, for 70 years since the Schuman Declaration, have governed, through solidarity and unity, the Member States. These values allow us to live together, to become even stronger and more united, contrary to the differences of language, culture, religion and customs. Solidarity is the pillar on which the functioning of the European Union is based, being applied especially in the relationship with the Republic of Moldova. I think the coronavirus pandemic has shown more than ever that only through solidarity can we meet any challenge and become even stronger.”, declares His Excellency, Mr. Peter Michalko, Ambassador of the European Union Delegation in the Republic of Moldova.
70 years after signing the Schuman Declaration, Europe is inspiring like never before to be supportive, responsible and innovative.
