Today, 8 August, interns gathered for yet another information session as part of the joint Internship Programme of the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova, and namely the one focused on internal security affairs and environment.
Victor Wili Apreutesei, EU High Level Adviser on internal security affairs, introduced the interns to the topic “EU Unveiled – Navigating Internal Affairs in the Digital Era, from Traditional to Innovation.” The discussions provided participants with a clear understanding of how digital transformation influences and improves the management of internal affairs, highlighting the opportunities and challenges of this transition.
Following this, Justina Grigaraviciene, EU High Level Adviser on environment and green transition delivered a presentation on the European Green Deal, environmental and climate policy of the Republic of Moldova, as well as environmental and climate diplomacy. Participants analysed the importance of the European Green Deal and its impact on Moldova’s environmental policies, emphasizing the necessity of intersectoral collaboration to ensure an effective green transition.
Information sessions for interns will continue in the remaining weeks of the Internship Programme on topics of anticorruption and anti-money laundering, as well as justice and human rights.
