The EU High Level Advisers’ Mission supported the organization of a launch event for the state’s Internship Programme – for the first time, internships for students are offered on a paid basis from the national budget. 30 young people will become interns of this year’s edition and will undertake internships in the State Chancellery, Presidential Administration, line ministries and subordinated agencies.

In the opening of the event, the State Secretary of the State Chancellery, Ana Calinici, stated: ‘In the process of selecting the Programme participants, we got convinced that we have young people with potential who want to stay at home and contribute, together with us, to the European future of our country.’

For his part, the EU High Level Adviser on Reforms Coordination, Dragos Ciuparu, underlined that the Republic of Moldova is undergoing a very complex transformation process, and young blood and new ideas are very much welcome in the country’s public administration.

The EU High Level Advisers’ Mission offered support for the promotion events that took place in three of the country’s biggest universities – State University of Moldova, Academy of Economic Sciences and Free International University of Moldova – by producing the necessary information and visibility materials and taking part in the presentation events.

Three of the young people selected in the national internship program are graduates of the joint program of the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova held in the summer of the current year. We wish success to all the interns and reiterate the Mission’s support for increasing administrative capacity in the Republic of Moldova.
