ELECTRICITY INTERCONNECTION BETWEEN ROMANIA AND MOLDOVA, DISCUSSED AT STUDY LAUNCHING

On 19th of January, the study ”The Bridge over the Prut, version 2.0: the electricity interconnection between Romania and Moldova ”, developed by ‘Expert Grup’ (Republic of Moldova) and ‘Expert Forum’ (Romania), was launched in Chisinau. As peer reviewer of this study, Mr. Alexandru Săndulescu, EU High Level Adviser on energy policy, gave a presentation in which he highlighted the need of this interconnection between the electricity grids of Romania and Republic of Moldova, as well as the measures that should be taken in Moldovan energy sector in order to optimally use the foreseen interconnection, for the benefit of the Moldovan electricity consumers.
